Why is our NDIS rate higher than the NDIS Pricing Document?
The NDIS dietetics rate has been frozen for over six years and has now been reduced further. This ongoing freeze, combined with rising costs, means the value of payments has not kept pace with what it actually costs to run a sustainable, high-quality service. This challenge is being felt across our whole sector and is unfortunately leading to fewer service providers being able to continue supporting families – something we are deeply committed to avoiding.
We know that the NDIS pricing decisions recently will hit families hard and we are continuing to advocate to increase the rate to reduce the significant impacts it will cause. We remain dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and value, and we will ensure that our services meet your needs and exceed your expectations.

Working with an NDIS Dietitian looks different depending on the support required. Everyone will need an initial appointment followed by several review appointments:
Your initial appointment with an dietitian may involve:
Review appointments usually involve:
We typically recommend booking in again 2-4 weeks after an initial assessment, to discuss assessment findings and create a nutrition care plan tailored to your child's needs. How often you need to be seen is at your discretion. For more intensive parent support around feeding, fortnightly sessions are recommended, however these sessions can range from monthly to every 3 months depending on the level of support preferred.
Meeting nutritional requirements can be challenging for people living with a disability. A dietitian can support meeting your nutrition needs and energy levels to actively partake in reaching your NDIS goals.
